‘Gościnna Przystań’
It is the community centre of the Gdańsk district of Orunia-Św. Wojciech-Lipce and supports the development of the local community of Orunia.
Gościnna Przystań is co-created by people from Orunia and people working at the Gdańsk Foundation for Social Innovation, creating an offer that supports various groups and individuals. We work together with active leaders of change, people in crisis and at risk of social exclusion, young people and children, seniors and others.
Vision of the Neighbourhood House
Every person in a city has an impact on their own life. They are an important and integral part of the community in which they live. They enrich it. They draw strength from social ties and pride from the unique character of their community. Every local community has an equal influence on the development of the city and on themselves within the city.
The mission of the Neighbourhood House
Our mission is to create a place that is the heart of the community. We empower people and develop bonds within the local community. We work to restore influence, strength, pride and the rightful place of individuals and communities. We understand diverse perspectives and needs. We create space for dialogue. Guided by the common good, we create change that leads to lasting results. We implement bold systemic solutions in the city.
