Revitalisation and Participation

We believe that a democratic society develops best when it includes and draws on the diversity of people, their skills and commitment. We support social engagement, especially at the local level (municipal and district), building shared resources for communities and groups that enable them to participate effectively in decision-making processes. We support and initiate consultations and discussions on issues affecting local communities, participate in the development of strategic documents, and work to increase awareness and skills to influence reality through democratic mechanisms.

When working with local communities, we focus on both social and infrastructural change. We believe that good revitalisation supports a process in which both areas intertwine and reinforce each other.
