Social and professional activation system in Gdańsk – active integration component II
The Gdańsk Foundation for Social Innovation (GFIS) is co-implementing a partnership project: ‘System of social and professional activation in Gdańsk – active integration component II’.
The project is implemented by the lead partner – the City of Gdańsk in partnership with non-governmental organisations.
The aim of the project is to increase social and professional activity and reduce the risk of poverty and social exclusion among the residents of Gdańsk by developing and implementing a sustainable cross-sectoral social and professional integration system carried out in comprehensive cooperation between local government, non-governmental organisations and economic and social entities.
The support provided under the project includes:
- comprehensive diagnosis and development of a reintegration path
- psychological and psychosocial support
- vocational counselling
- vocational internships
- vocational courses and skills training
- activation support for teenagers and young adults
- supported housing for independent former foster care kids
- social animation
- professional activation for people with migration experience
The project is being implemented in the period: 01.2022-06.2023
The project is open to residents of Gdańsk who are at risk of social exclusion.
GFIS support is mainly focused on the districts of Orunia-Św.Wojciech-Lipce and Maćki, but we are open to all people living in Gdańsk.

The project is implemented under Measure: 06.02 ‘Social Services’ Sub-measure 06.02.01 ‘Development of social services – ZIT mechanism’, co-financed by the European Social Fund. Regional Operational Programme for the Pomeranian Province for 2014-2020.
