Social and professional activation system in Gdańsk – social services component
The Gdańsk Foundation for Social Innovation (GFIS) is implementing a partnership project:
System of social and professional activation in Gdańsk – social services component
The aim of the project is to reduce the number of people and families at risk of social exclusion in Gdańsk through the development and implementation of social services in Social Activity Centres located in districts of Gdańsk with a high risk of poverty and social exclusion.
Project activities – how can we help?
The project is implemented by the main partner, the City of Gdańsk, in partnership with the Aleksandra FOSA Social Support Foundation, the Gdańsk Foundation for Social Innovation, the St. Brother Albert Aid Society, Gdańsk Branch, the Free Enterprise Association, Gdańsk Branch, the WAGA Association, the Polish Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, Gdańsk Branch, the Gdańsk Social Cooperative, the Regional Volunteer Centre in Gdańsk and the Pelikan Family Association.
The project is being implemented from 1 March 2017 to 30 September 2022.
The project is open to residents of Gdańsk.
GFIS support is mainly focused on the Gdańsk districts of Orunia-Św.Wojciech-Lipce and Maćki, but we are open to all people living in Gdańsk.
Support includes:
- in-depth diagnosis and development of a reintegration path
- psychological and psychosocial support
- school for parents
- individual development work for individuals and families
- interdisciplinary and monitoring teams
- district youth safety teams
- CAS support for young people (education, individual and group support, streetworking)
- social animation
- activities within the MojaOrunia.pl portal – articles on topics related to young people
