SPOT North - On Grey Wall

The task of SPOT North includes running a day care centre in the form of backyard activities and implementing and carrying out a pilot component of community animation and family work. The system of measures is aimed at preventing addiction and social pathologies. The action was implemented through the implementation of:

  1. a programme for 15 children and young people aged 6-18 and their families from the Oksywie district,
  2. a pilot component (at least 15 participants per week): streetworking, a programme for young people at risk of exclusion (aged 12-18), a complementary family and parent support programme: interdisciplinary work and activities to integrate the local community.

Participants are involved in an integrated programme of social, educational and preventive activities. Children receive specialist support. Participants are provided with meals. The project is subject to internal evaluation. The task is carried out in cooperation with the child and family support system, aimed at improving the situation of families and ensuring high quality of the task. Cooperation is carried out with the Team of Specialised Institutions in Gdynia, social workers, family assistants, probation officers, local educational and support institutions, the Przystań Śmidowicza 49 Neighbourhood Centre and the Social Innovation Laboratory.

The task is carried out in Gdynia at the facility located at ul. Pułkownika Dąbka 52.
