Oruński Town Hall

The Oruński Town Hall is an important community building in the district's landscape, with over 150 years of tradition.

At the beginning of the second millennium, the building gradually fell into disrepair. As part of a revitalisation programme, the city of Gdańsk obtained funds to renovate the monument and adapt it to a new function. Since 2021, GFIS has been co-managing the Oruński Town Hall as part of a cross-sector partnership with the District Council, the Municipal Library and Gdańsk Nieruchomości. In 2022-24, we implemented a humanitarian programme for refugees from Ukraine in the Town Hall, which housed a Refugee Support Centre that provided assistance to over 2,000 people. Today, the Oruński Town Hall is a cultural, democratic and pro-social space and a meeting place.
